Xexify is managed by one David Chaim Cohen:
The idea began in the late 90's when the handle "Dr. Xex" was born. Since then, the idea of Xexify has existed within the hearts of many, but maybe no one more than Mr. Cohen himself.
In 2003, David moved to Southern California, where he encountered his first outdoor trance experiences. This was a great period of growth for Xexify. Parties were thrown, both permitted and renegade, many of which have gone down in the annals of underground-trance history. Most notably were Black Noon; a 10 dollar renegade birthday party in the So-Cal hills, and Lunar Sun, a 3 day collaborative (Mindfull, Terrakroma) legend that occurred in the Mojave desert.
Xexify continues to throw parties and has relocated to the Northern California forest. We are now aimed towards releasing quality, experimental electronic music in limited edition format. Releases will feature hand-made packaging and artwork and will only be available from this website, or in person from a Xexify Operative. We will also be offering visual art by local underground painters and related-object-orienters.
A note about the music: though Xexify has mainly dabbled in the promotion of trance events, the musical background of Xexify and its many operatives is actually much broader. The music featured on our label will range from psy-trance compilations to one-track ambient drone pieces, and perhaps even some neo-folk for good measure. The only genre that is not allowed is DUBSTEP.
