Hello, my name is David Chaim Cohen, I have been involved with electronic music for over 25 years, and mastering other peoples music for 10 years. My studio is based out of beautiful South Lake Tahoe, California. I am a passionate mastering engineer that truly loves and respects all the music I’m sent to work on. I strive to empower every artist that approaches me, and encourage them to mix for emotional connection and have confidence in their own work before sending it over. I exist solely to amplify and enhance your musical vision, nothing more and nothing less.
Here at Xexify we specialize in mastering electronic music, especially the kind that is a little (or a lot) left of center. I am able, of course, to work on any style of music, from rap to spoken word to neo-house-country-punk. If you have had trouble communicating with ME’s you have worked with in the past, or haven’t gotten quite the results you expected, then Xexify might be right for you. If you are doing something that most people don’t seem to understand or respect, I might be able to hear its greatness on the first listen, because that’s what I am— a professional listener.
Monitoring by Barefoot. Conversion by Cranesong and Mytek. Processing with tools from Knif, Foote Control Systems, Goly, Blackbox, Hendyamps, DMG, TDR, Voxengo, and other bespoke brands— all tools chosen carefully over the course of the last decade for their distinct sonic qualities.
The rate is $50 per track, with revisions for basic tone and loudness included, within reason.
If you send a new mix, I have to charge again.
DDP for CD reproduction is $50.
Different loudness profiles for vinyl or streaming can also be done, and are charged on a case by case basis.
